Psychological Therapist | Clinical Supervisor | BACP & BPS Registered
I am Elida Hoxha, the founder of E H Therapy Clinic. I am a qualified Psychological Therapist and Clinical Supervisor, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).
I hold a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy through CPCAB, as well as a BSc with a focus on Mental Health and Educational Psychosocial Support. Over the past decade, I have worked extensively in the field of refugee mental health, supporting individuals affected by trauma, trafficking, violence, gender-based abuse, forced displacement, and complex life experiences.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and trauma-informed. I draw on a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, person-centred therapy, transactional analysis, life coaching, and complex trauma-informed practice. I aim to offer a safe, respectful, and empowering space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported at their own pace.
Alongside my work as a therapist, I also provide clinical supervision for practitioners, offering a reflective and supportive space to explore client work, ethical practice, professional development, and the emotional impact of therapeutic work.
I have significant experience working with refugees, asylum seekers, survivors of trafficking, and Albanian-speaking clients. My understanding of Albanian culture, traditional values, gender expectations, migration, displacement, and the impact of the Kanun helps me provide culturally sensitive support to clients whose experiences are shaped by these wider social and cultural contexts.
In addition to one-to-one therapy and clinical supervision, I facilitate therapeutic groups, psychoeducational workshops, and mental health training for young people, community groups, and professionals.
My work is rooted in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and trauma-informed care. I am passionate about helping people reconnect with their strength, rebuild safety, and move towards healing and recovery.
